Victorian Adams The William Adams & Sons Pottery potted under many different names from 1769 right up to modern times, making high quality jasperware, earthenware, basalt and parian. Through the ages they made jasperware quite comparable to that produced by Wedgwood. Generally you will find the cobalt blue used by Adams was slightly brighter than that used by Wedgwood or Dudson, another Staffordshire pottery which produced large quantities of jasper wares. Most of what you will find in this category is the late 19th century through the turn-of-the-century wares. |
