Copeland Copeland took over the Spode Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in 1833. They potted as "Copeland and Garrett" until 1847. Copeland and Garrett became WT Copeland and has potted until the present day. Today the pottery has returned to the original Spode name, with which we are all familiar, and operates within a large conglomerate of potteries. Copeland produced high quality porcelain, earthenwares and parian. Over the years many different marks have been used incorporating combinations of Spode and Copeland. |
